r.e.m. / 13-1-11

for a long time i have enjoyed listening to r.e.m. well, at least until these past few years. since automatic for the people it just hasn't been that good for me. i am not sure why, maybe it is because of the fame, or maybe they are too good as far as musical talent goes. i mean you only get better as you practice and play more and more. it happens to every band. usually the first two, or three albums are the best, then they start sounding washed out.

i think that the albums recorded prior to bill berry leaving were the best. it makes me think that there is more to that than coincidence.

i also found out that he didn't stop playing music after retiring from r.e.m. it seems that he made an album and has done some work post-r.e.m. (besides farming) after all. too bad that finding his music is so hard.

anytime there is something posted about allergies it catches my attention. this was on msn.com today. i used to live back east where it seems to be the worst for allergies, i am glad that i moved but miss it sometimes.

photoshop is cool.

i was thinking about this article i once read about how a person overlaid a logo onto a lemon in photoshop... and i thought that it would be cool to find it and try it myself. well, i never found it, but there are a lot of articles and tricks out there.

finally took the time to revise a few of my favorite things... and it's not like i have really watched any of the south park episodes, but a couple of years ago i thought that it would be fun to create a character based on what i look like. i am glad that i found it.
